Saudi Arabia affirms support for Sudanese people's views on their future
Saudi Arabia has affirmed its backing for the
Sudanese people's views on their future, declaring support for steps announced
by the Transitional Military Council and standing by the Sudanese people, Saudi
state agency SPA reported Saturday.
"In order to alleviate the suffering of the
brotherly Sudanese people, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques issued
directives to the concerned authorities in the Kingdom to provide a package of
humanitarian aid, including petroleum products, wheat and medicines," it
added.
The Kingdom reiterated it sides with Sudanese people
and hopes that such development will contribute to achieving security and
stability for brotherly Sudan.
Riyadh called on the Sudanese people of all
categories to give priority to the national interest to achieve their
aspirations and hopes for development and prosperity.
