Sudan's Burhan appoints head of joint chiefs of staff

Head of the transitional military council in Sudan
Abdel Fattah Burhan issued on Monday a decree on the reformation of Sudan's
joint chiefs of staff.
Sudanese army spokesman Major General Ahmed Khalifa al-Shami said in a
statement that General Hashem Abdel Moteleb Ahmed was appointed as the head of
the joint chiefs of staff and General Mohamed Othman Al Hussein as deputy.
General Magdy Ibrahim Othman was appointed as chief of the ground forces
command.
The decree included appointing Air Chief Marshal Mohamed Ali Mohamed Mahmoud as
the chief of the air forces command and Admiral Magdy Sayed Omar as the chief
of the naval forces command.
