Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE condemn Sri Lanka terror blasts

An official source with the Saudi Foreign Ministry has expressed the kingdom's condemnation of terrorist blasts that rocked a number of churches and hotels in Sri Lanka earlier Sunday, killing at least 160 people and injuring hundreds more.

In a statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency, the source offered Riyadh's condolences to the victims' families and the Sri Lankan government, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.

In reaction to these attacks, the source called for uniting international efforts to uproot terrorism that poses a threat to world security and stability, the statement added.

The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs extended its condolences to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Sri Lanka and wished the injured a speedy recovery, the agency said.

The ministry affirmed in a statement Bahrain's solidarity with Sri Lanka against all forms of violence and terrorism, reiterating the Kingdom’s firm stance in rejecting all forms of extremism and terrorism, regardless of their motives, and called for concerted efforts to combat the dangerous scourge that threatens world security and peace.

UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation renewed, in a statement, the UAE's firm stance rejecting violence and terror.

The ministry offered condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured speedy recovery.

The UAE urged the international community to stand together to face terror which threats the security and stability of the countries of the world.
