Sri Lankan Defense Minister Ruwan Wijewardene said
seven people have been arrested in connection with a string of terrorist
bombings which ripped through the country Sunday morning leaving hundreds of
people dead and injured.
He said at least 190 people have been killed,
including 27 foreigners in the attacks that were centered in Colombo, the
Guardian reported on Sunday.
Earlier today, Sri Lanka’s defense and military
officials decided to impose a nationwide curfew “just until things settle
down,” saying investigators have identified the culprits of the multiple deadly
blasts that mostly targeted high-end hotels in the capital and churches where
worshipers were attending Easter services.
