Saudi Arabia Calls for Continued Pressure on Iran

Saudi Arabia reiterated on Tuesday its support for
the US administration in its efforts to stopping Iran’s destabilizing policies
and its backing for terrorist groups.
The Saudi cabinet chaired by King Salman bin
Abdulaziz stressed the Kingdom’s policy to stabilize the global oil market in
the larger interests of oil producers and consumers and to ensure the growth
and stability of the world economy.
Cabinet members also expressed their appreciation to
Saudi security forces for thwarting an attack on an intelligence center in
Zulfi province, north of Riyadh, and arresting the suspects.
It strongly condemned terrorist attacks that killed
hundreds of people in four countries.
The cabinet highlighted attacks in Sri Lanka,
Pakistan, Somalia and Afghanistan, saying the Kingdom stands in solidarity with
all countries against violence and terrorism.
The attacks are a threat to international security
and stability, it said.
The cabinet also lauded Saudi Arabia and the UAE for
offering $3 billion in aid to Sudan, including a $500 million deposit in the
country’s Central Bank.
