Ammar al Hakim: Iraqi people appreciate Egypt's support in all crises

Leader of the Iraqi National Alliance for Reform and
Reconstruction Ammar Al-Hakim asserted that the Iraqi people highly appreciate
the Egyptian support for their country during hard times and in face of various
crises, terming relations between the two countries as "strong and
distinguished".
In statements to MENA on the fringe of his current
visit to Kuwait, Hakim said the Egyptian-Iraqi relations are deeply rooted
whether at the economic, political or cultural levels in view of the keenness
of the political leaderships on boosting such relations and pushing them
forward.
As regards the situation in Iraq, Hakim asserted
that security conditions are continuously improving and Iraq has much to do to
rebuild the country and achieve development.
He pointed out to the turnout of investors and
businessmen on working in Iraq, a matter which asserts the improvement of the
security situation in the wake of the defeat of Daesh terrorist group.
Hakim also highlighted the signing of a number of
contracts with major international companies such as Siemens whose contract
with the Iraqi government is valued at dlrs 14 billion, noting that Exxon
Mobil's contract alone is estimated at dlrs 54 billion.
