Yemeni parl't urges legitimate gov't to boycott UN envoy

Yemen’s Parliament renewed on Sunday calls on the
legitimate government to halt dealing with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Martin
Griffiths until he adheres to resolutions of the UN Security Council and other
internationally-recognized terms of reference on a political settlement in the
civil war-hit Arab nation.
According to a report by Al Arabiya Al Hadath TV
news channel, planned meetings set to be held in Riyadh by the UN
Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, Rosemary A. DiCarlo and Yemeni
officials will focus on addressing the legitimate government's accusations
against the UN envoy of being biased.
The legitimate government seeks, during talks with
DiCarlo, getting guarantees from the UN regarding putting an end to the biased
stances of the UN envoy, along with giving him a last chance to continue his
mission as a neutral mediator in the conflict-torn country.
DiCarlo will also confer in Riyadh with a team of
Yemeni government negotiators who will hand over a copy of agreements about
putting into effect the first stage of a redeployment deal in the strategic
city of Hudaydah’s three ports.
