Militants affiliated with the Government of National
Accord reportedly bombarded Qasr bin Ghashir district, in south Tripoli,
leaving many civilians dead and injured, including children, according to the
media center of the Libyan National Army.
"The mouthpiece of the terrorist Muslim
Brotherhood organization rushed to fabricate fake news to disavow criminal acts
they commit to mislead people," Sky News channel quoted the media center
as saying on Sunday.
The latest assault follows calls by UN envoy to
Libya Ghassan Salame for declaring an urgent humanitarian truce in Tripoli
alongside increasing aid offered to refugees caught in the ongoing clashes
taking place in the outskirts of the capital.
