Afghan army kills 16 Taliban militants in Uruzgan

Afghanistan security forces carried out a series of
airstrikes in the southern province of Uruzgan, killing at least 16 Taliban
militants, Afghan news agency Khaama Press reported on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Afghan Special Forces destroyed 30 lbs of
illegal narcotics during an operation in the same district.
The Special Forces also arrested a suspected
militant during the same operation.
Anti-government militants, including Taliban, have
not commented regarding the operations so far.
