Egypt's Islamist president Morsi dies

Deposed Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi died Monday, Egypt's state television said.
It added that the Islamist
president was in court at the time of his death when he suddenly lost
consciousness and then declared dead.
Morsi's body was then taken
to a nearby hospital.
Morsi was deposed in July
2013, following weeks of protests by Egyptians on the streets.
Those protesting accused his
government of failing to deliver on his electoral promises.
He spent a year in the
presidency.
