Azhar reaffirms scientific, intellectual support for Libyan people

Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed El Tayyeb has stressed that
the Islamic institution provides scientific and intellectual support for the
Libyan people.
He met with a delegation of Libyan tribes on
Wednesday, reiterating that Azhar strongly supports efforts aiming to achieve
unity of the Libyan society.
El Tayyeb said Azhar also helps the Arab country
overcome its current crisis and defeat terrorism and extremism.
He urged foreign governments not to interfere in the
internal affairs of Libya, noting that Azhar has developed a program to train
Libyan imams and preachers to counter extremist thoughts and different
challenges.
The delegation extended thanks to El Tayyeb for his
stances that aim to back stability and unity of Libya.
