GCC Condemns Aden Clashes

Secretary-General of the Gulf
Cooperation Council Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani condemned on Saturday the
ongoing clashes in the temporary Yemeni capital, Aden.
He described the unrest as a
“heinous crime that violates the bond of fraternity and moral and humanitarian
values, jeopardizes the lives of civilians and threatens regional security and
stability.”
He called on the rival parties in
Aden to return to reason and prioritize the higher interests of the Yemeni
people.
The enemies of Yemen alone benefit
from this unfortunate clash, Zayani warned.
This stage requires Yemeni powers
that are keen on the country’s security and stability to exert efforts to
support the legitimate government and continue its mission to restore state
sovereignty throughout its territories, he stressed.
