German min. stresses support for Iraq in its fight against terrorists

Visiting German Defense Minister Annegret
Kramp-Karrenbauer stressed her country's support for the Iraqi army, noting
that Daesh elements are still there despite the end of military operations.
At a press conference with Iraqi Defense Minister Najah
al-Shammari, the German minister said she reviewed with her Iraqi counterpart
means of training and supporting Iraqi forces.
She noted that Iraq is moving ahead towards
defeating terrorism.
She said Germany will fight with Iraq against Daesh
within the framework of the international coalition.
She noted that there is logistic and intelligence
support for Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
For his part, the Iraqi minister said cooperation with
Germany will boost in the coming period, noting that Iraqi forces continue to
pursue terrorists in the western desert in Anbar.
