Saudi diplomat: Liberation of Hodeidah will free humanitarian relief from Houthis

The liberation of the Yemeni port city of Hodeidah
will mark a cornerstone step to free the humanitarian relief from the grip of
Houthi militias, said Mohamed al-Jaber , Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to Yemen and
the executive director of Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations.
The Saudi ambassador said Houthis exploited
the seaport to get arms from Iran, prolong the war in Yemen and impoverish the
Yemeni people.
The statements were made during a meeting
between al-Jaber and UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan
on Saturday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Ambassadors of the Security Council five permanent
members attended the meeting, SPA said. Saudi Arabia and the Arab coalition is
supporting the legitimate government and the Yemeni army which is striving to
restore the nation from Iranian-backed Houthi militias, al-Jaber said
