AL Economic and Social Council begins 104th session

The 104th session of the Arab League Economic and
Social Council started here on Thursday at the ministerial level, chaired by
Palestine in succession to Oman.
The session tackles the economic and social file of
the Arab League Council at the level of the coming 31st Arab summit, slated for
March and follows up the implementation of the 103rd session of the council as
well as activities of the general secretariat between the 103rd and 104th
sessions in the social and economic aspects.
The participants will also discuss a draft Arab strategy
for the economic and social empowerment of women in rural areas at the request
of Tunisia.
