AL: Cultural identity is Arab and African weapon in fighting terrorism

Ebeid on Tuesday said that the cultural identity is the strong Arab and African
weapon in fighting terrorism and foreign interference.
Addressing a forum on combating terrorism and
regional interference here, he added that the cultural aspect is a national
security component.
He added that the cultural identity is the combined
Arab and Islamic identity that does not exclude anybody on the basis of
language or religion.
He pointed out that lack of awareness about this
cultural identity in regional countries is the reason behind the spread of
terrorism.
Education and the cultural identity are the shield
against terrorism, he said, adding that terrorism should be tackled from the
political and economic dimensions.
