UAE offered assistance worth $ 3.77 to Yemen since 2015

Foreign aid to Yemen reached
AED 13.85 billion (US $ 3.77 billion) during the period from April 2015 to May
2008, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the
United Arab Emirates (UAE) said.
The Ministry added that 66%
of such assistance came in the form of commodities at an amount of AED 3.69
billion, another billion were for the energy sector, AED 770 million for the
health sector and AED 600 million for the development of the judicial and legal
sector,
Statistics indicate that the
UAE provided assistance to Yemen worth AED 3.3 billion in 2015, AED 3.9 billion
in 2016, AED 3 billion in 2017 and AED 3.6 billion this year.
The humanitarian, food and
medical aid to Yemen's population comes after three years of starvation and
siege by the Huthis. The UAE affirms its commitment to international
humanitarian law, its humanitarian commitment to the brotherly Yemeni people
and its long-term plan to help the Yemeni people.
