Interior Ministry arrests suspects plotting attacks in Bahrain

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry announced the arrest of
a number of suspects who were plotting attacks in the kingdom.
The suspects, who are linked to terrorists residing
abroad, were arrested in a preemptive operation.
The plotters were seeking to carry out attacks that
undermine the kingdom’s security and internal peace.
Investigations are underway with the detainees.
The Interior Ministry had previously revealed to
Asharq Al-Awsat that Iran was harboring 160 fugitives wanted on terrorism
charges and who are involved in plots targeting Bahrain since 2011.
