EU urges stopping escalations in Gaza Strip

The European Union (EU) on Tuesday urged immediate
and comprehensive stopping of escalation in the Palestinian Gaza Strip which has
seen Israeli air raids on one hand and rocket firing from the strip against
Israel on the other.
EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and
Security Policy Federica Mogherini said in a statement that was published by
Radio France International that stopping escalation between the two sides is
necessary for the safety and security of Palestinian and Israeli civilians.
Tension in the Gaza Strip renewed on Tuesday morning
after an Israeli air raid that led to the killing of a commander in the Palestinian
Islamic Jihad Movement and his wife followed by firing rockets from the strip
into Israel.
