Cabinet hails efforts to review Egyptian rights file at UN

Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Omar Marawan
hailed efforts exerted in presenting Egypt's human rights file at the United
Nations Human Rights council during periodical review.
The report was presented to the UN in August, 2019
in preparation for its discussion on November 13.
During a cabinet meeting on Thursday, he said the
report focused on two main axes; namely the national vision and regulations for
managing the human rights file as well as the achievements realized in the
domain at the civil, political, economic, social and cultural levels.
The report also highlighted the efforts exerted by
Egypt in combating illegal immigration and corruption and spreading tolerance
and peaceful coexistence.
The report was backed by more than 80 percent of the
attendees and ratified on November 15.
