AL raises alarm about silence of int'l community towards Israeli crimes

Arab League Assistant Secretary General for
Palestine and Arab Occupied Territories Affairs Saeed Abu Ali condemned on
Tuesday the crime of killing Palestinian prisoner Samy Abu Diyak inside an
Israeli jail.
In a press release, Abu Ali said the death of Diyak
brought to 222 the number of Palestinians who died inside Israeli jail since
1967 as a result of lack of medical service.
He warned that the silence of the international
community and international organizations towards Israel's crimes encourages
occupation authorities to continue in their crimes against the Palestinian
people.
Earlier in the day, the Palestinian presidency warned
of the continuation of the slow killing of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli
jails.
The presidency held the Israeli occupation
government responsible for the killing of prisoner Abu Diyak, who was suffering
from cancer and who was exposed to deliberate negligence by the Israeli prison
authorities until he passed away earlier on Tuesday.
