AL calls on Arab states to reconsider impact of bad publication in modern media on public opinion

The Arab League Wednesday called on its members to
seriously reconsider the dangerous impact of bad publication in modern media on
the public opinion.
Addressing the opening session of a workshop on
finding an Arab mechanism to confront the dangers of bad publishing in modern
media, organized by the Arab League's Research and Strategic Studies
Department, Dr Alaa el Tamimi, the department's Director, warned against the
perils of digital media content which require evaluating the intellectual and
cultural immunity of the presenter and developing devices to define all tactics
that all these websites use.
He voiced hope that proposals and recommendations
would be reached to clear the way for future steps, in terms of enhancing the
joint Arab media action, to reach the Arab media strategy targets and an Arab
media code of honor.
