Court sentences 76 Brotherhood members to death

A Cairo court sentenced 76 people of the Muslim
Brotherhood members and loyalists to death on Saturday. Top Brotherhood leaders
Mohamed El-Beltagy, Essam El-Erian, Safwat Hegazy, Osama Yassin, Amr Zaki,
Wagdy Ghoneim, Assem Abdel Magid and Abdel Rahamn El-Ber are among the
defendants.
The 76 people were sentenced to death on a
list of charges including the killing of citizens and police forces
commissioned to disband the Rabaa sit-in in 2013.
The sentence will be referred to the Grand
Mufti.
