Afghan president condemns suicide attack on Gardez City mosque

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Friday condemned a
suicide bombing that targeted Khwaja Hassan Mosque in Gardez City, calling it
inhuman, the Afghan Tolo News reported.
In a statement, the Afghan president said such
attacks can not affect unity among the Afghans.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Earlier in the day, a suicide bombing occurred
inside a mosque in Gardez City, the center of Paktia province in the east of
Afghanistan, Afghan police confirmed.
Paktia Police Chief Raz Mohammad Mandozai said the
suicide bombing left 20 people dead and 40 others wounded, according to the
initial information.
Eyewitnesses and sources said at least 600 people
were inside the mosque when the bombing happened.
