Iraq to not commit to US sanctions imposed against Iran

Iraqi President Fuad Masum said that there are
mutual interests between Iraq and Iran that make it difficult for Iraq to
commit to US sanctions imposed against Iran.
In an interview with Alhurra news channel on
Tuesday, Masum said that the relation between Iraq and Iran is extended.
Speaking about the current problems between the US
and Iran after Washington's withdrawal from an international nuclear deal and
reimposition of tough economic sanctions on Terhan, he said Iraq should not
take sides by joining one party against another.
On the protests calling for combating corruption in
Iraq, Masum urged the security bodies to secure them and protect the public and
private property.
Masum said that the security forces should not use
weapons to disperse the protesters.
