Brazil's President meets Al-Azhar Deputy

Brazil's President Michel Temer met with
Abbas Shouman, Deputy of Al-Azhar, the Sunni center of learning, in Brasilia on
Friday. Shouman is visiting Brazil according to an invitation by the Federation
of Muslim Associations of Brazil.
The meeting highlighted cooperation between
Al-Azhar and Brazilian institutions to boost tolerance, the concepts of
citizenship and freedom.
Shouman met with a number of top Brazilian
officials including trade and industry and presidency ministers.
Egypt's ambassador to Brazil Alaa Eddin
Roushdi and Mohamed El Zoghbi, Chairman of the Federation of Muslim
Associations of Brazil, attended the meeting.
