Yemeni army liberates several sites near Saada
The Yemeni army, backed by Arab coalition warplanes,
liberated a number of villages and sites near Al Malahiz market, one of the
most important and largest markets in Saada province in north-western Yemen.
The Yemeni army managed to liberate several villages
and areas in Al Zaher directorate, near Al Malahiz market, Al Arabiya news
channel reported on Thursday, quoting army commander Major-General Abdul Karim
al Sadai as saying.
The Yemeni troops have controlled Al Malahiz market
few days after the international supply line to Houthis has been cut. This was
considered the main supply line for the Houthi militias in Hidan directorate,
Sadai said.
"The Yemeni army heroes are getting ready to
enter the market to liberate it from the Houthi militants in the coming few
hours," he added.
Liberating Al Malahiz market and resuming trade
activities at it is very important due to its strategic location, which is
considered as the gate to Maran district, the stronghold of the Houthi rebels.
