The coalition of Tunisia Brotherhood cracks
The Ennahda Movement, the arm of the Brotherhood in
Tunisia, faces charges of trying to empty the state of its content, by trying
to sell Tunisian Airlines to Qatar, and agreeing to partnership agreements with
Turkey that violate national sovereignty; What heralds an imminent crack within
the movement's coalition government.
The two agreements in dispute include an agreement
between the Tunisian government and the Qatar Development Fund, which allows
the opening of an office of the Qatar Fund in Tunisia, while the second with
Turkey is to encourage and protect mutual investment between the Tunisian
Republic and the Republic of Turkey.
Last February, members of the Tunisian parliament
demanded that about 30% of the capital of Tunisian airlines not be missed for
the benefit of Qatar Airways, or open airspace to its air fleet, stressing that
it would give Qatar an opportunity to defraud and use the security agreement in
favor of its agendas in the region.
The MP in the People's Movement, Haykal al-Makki, on
Tuesday 12 May 2020, accused Al-Nahda of duplication and attempting to control
the state’s joints, noting that Al-Nahda tried to disrupt the government, as
well as the attempt of the Al-Nahda movement leader, Rashid Ghannushi, to
infringe on the granted powers Constitutionally to the heads of state and
government, saying: Ennahda is not serious about its participation in the
government, and that it has been forced to overthrow it.
Meanwhile, Zuhair Al-Maghzawi,
Secretary-General of the People's Movement, which won 15 parliamentary seats in
the last elections, pointed out that Ennahdha practiced duplication in its
political behavior; It wants the spoils of government and at the same time it
wants to be in the opposition, "in reference to its presence in the
government on the one hand, and its formation of a political alliance with the
Heart of Tunisia Party and the Dignity Coalition, the opposition in Parliament.
Last April witnessed skirmishes between deputies due
to two agreements with Qatar and Turkey that were supposed to be discussed
under the dome of the Tunisian parliament, but the government postponed
consideration of them, following many protests issued by the opposition
"Free Constitutional Party" led by Abeer Musa and the "Long Live
Tunisia" movement. Which is led by Youssef Al-Shahid.
The opposition Tunisian parties rejected the
projects that Al-Nahda wants to conclude with Turkey and Qatar, declaring that
the Speaker of the Parliament, the leader of the Al-Nahda movement, Rashid
Rashid Ghannouchi, wanted to pass it by using the Corona crisis to impose the
hegemony of the Turkish-Qatari alliance inside Tunisia.
In turn, the Tunisian researcher, Hassan
El-Qoubi, said that the differences hit the government that includes the
"Ennahda" and "the people" movements, that is, an Islamist
party with another nationalist, and sharp differences throughout the issue of
foreign files, whether Syria, Libya or Turkey and Qatar.
He pointed out, in a statement to the Russian radio
"Sputnik" on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, that the government mix made
everyone search for a hunt for all, until the conflict reached and settled
between President Qais Saeed and Rashid Ghannouchi.
It is noteworthy that the Qatar Fund is hovering
suspicions regarding the financing of associations close to terrorist
organizations.
