Al-Faqih working to improve Qatar's image – Al-Zeitar
Saudi political analyst Khaled al-Zeitar has lashed out at Ihasn al-Faqih.
The woman who lauded the Islamic State group more than one time in the
past, he said, is now trying to improve the image of the Qatari regime.
He added on his Twitter account that dependence by the Qatari regime on
a Muslim Brotherhood writer to defend it proves the bankrupt state it has
already reached.
"This move also aims at glossing over recent revelations that Qatar
sponsors terrorism in several countries, including in Somalia," al-Zeitar
wrote.
He expected Qatar to fail in deflecting attention from its sponsorship
of terrorist groups, even if it hires thousands of writers like al-Faqih.
"The Qatari regime spent tens of millions of dollars on the
purchase of newspapers to defend it," al-Zeitar said. "Nevertheless,
these newspapers had come short of improving Qatar's image."
He added that the Qatari regime is resorting now instead to hiring
Muslim Brotherhood writers to defend it.
