LNA putting itself in order in preparation for new battles
The Libyan National Army (LNA) is putting itself in order yet again by reformulating its main operations rooms and appointing new commanders.
The
changes initiated by the LNA aim at making it capable of countering
developments in its battles against the militias allied with the Tripoli-based
Government of National Accord (GNA) and the mercenaries sent to Libya by
Turkish President Recep
Tayyip Erdoğan.
Apart
from the mercenaries, Erdoğan
is also sending arms shipments to Libya, which is stoking tensions in the Arab
country and threatening to embroil it in more security challenges.
There
are, meanwhile, growing calls for ending the conflict in Libya and rifts among
Libyans.
Liberating Libya
The
LNA revealed in a recent statement that it had initiated changes to its
operations rooms and appointed qualified commanders for these rooms.
The
aim of the changes, it said, is to liberate Libya from Turkish interference.
The
LNA will not allow mercenaries or extremists to stay in the homes of the
Libyans, the LNA said.
It
said Erdoğan only
wants to control the wealth of the Libyans and revive the defeated Ottoman
Empire.
Turkey had always stolen the wealth of
the Libyan people and turned them into a bunch of refugees and minorities like
it did with the Armenians and the Kurds, the LNA said.
It said it would continue to fight to
prevent Libyans from meeting the same fate of the Armenians and the Kurds.
Cairo Declaration
Regional and international parties are
calling, meanwhile, for ending the conflict in Libya and initiating dialogue
among the Libyans.
Efforts in this regard included an
Egyptian initiative for bringing the Libyans together and ending fighting
between the Libyan parties.
Nevertheless, Turkey has been doing
the exact contrast. It works to spread unrest in Libya and stoke the tensions
in it by sending mercenaries and arms shipments.
