Yemeni army is preparing to uproot Houthis from Saada with coalition support
The Yemeni army has made significant progress in the
province of Saada, where it has taken over strategic positions, supported by the
Arab coalition, which is a heavy loss for the Houthi militias.
On Sunday, the Yemeni army, with the support of coalition
aircraft, fought fierce battles in the mountains of Saada’s Kataf district, the
stronghold of the Iranian-backed Houthis, which lasted for more than ten hours.
This resulted in the liberation of multiple areas in the province, with Yemeni
reports indicating that the Yemeni army inflicted heavy losses upon the Houthis,
who lost many lives and weapons on the slopes of the mountain.
Uprooting the Houthis from Saada
The airstrike resulted in a number of deaths and injuries
among the Iranian-backed Houthis, as well as the destruction of weapons
belonging to them.
Yemeni reports pointed out that about eight Houthi snipers
and more than 30 others were killed by the army and coalition aircraft.
The road between Saada and Al-Jawf was also liberated, which
is a strategic victory. The Yemeni army has managed to secure this line between
the two provinces in full so that the Houthis cannot target citizens as they
travel along this road.
The Yemeni army, backed by the Arab coalition, made a
strategic and important breakthrough by reaching the first districts of Al-Jawf
from the province of Saada on Wednesday.
"The Yemeni forces' victory in Saada is a strong boost
to the continuation of the war against the militias and the overthrow of
militia strongholds, which is a major moral blow to the Houthis," said
Yemeni political analyst Abdul Karim al-Medi.
The Yemeni army in Saada, backed by the Arab coalition,
confirmed that everyone in Yemen are determined to uproot Iran's arm from the
country, he added.
Medi said that it is the year of victory and will make
history by marking the end of Iran's presence in Yemen and the return of the
country to its natural position among its brothers in the Gulf and Arab world.
