Lebanese president: No tolerance with terrorism

Lebanese President Michel Aoun stressed on Saturday
that there is no tolerance with terrorism, noting that he will not go easy on
those who find justifications for assailants of the state sovereignty and its
security institutions.
Aoun made the remarks as part of a speech he
delivered on the 158th anniversary of the establishment of the Internal
Security Forces (ISF) directorate, which falls on June 9.
The Lebanese president pointed out to the sacrifices
made by the ISF personnel, adding that they form, along with the army forces
and other security troops, a “shield that protects civil peace and preserves
stability.”
The terrorist attack that took place on the eve of
Eidul Fitr in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli, leaving two ISF elements
and two army forces dead, constitutes a motive for insistence on not tolerating
with terrorism, Aoun said.
