France regrets escalation of violence between Israel, Gaza

France has expressed deep sorrow over the escalation
of violence between Israel and the Gaza Strip, urging both parties to exercise
self-restraint.
In a statement issued by the French Foreign Ministry
of Thursday, France called on both sides to abide by the ceasefire to avoid the
fall of more civilian victims.
These incidents assert the need to reach a
sustainable political solution in Gaza, the statement added.
Three people, including a toddler, were killed in a
series of Israeli air raids on different places in Gaza during the past hours.
