11 Taliban militants killed, wounded southern Afghanistan

At least seven Taliban militants were killed and
four others were wounded in airstrikes conducted by the US forces in southern
Helmand province, Khaama Press agency reported on Tuesday.
The governor’s office in Helmand in a statement said
the airstrikes were conducted in Nawa and Garamser districts.
A vehicle, four rockets, and five hand grenades were
also destroyed during the airstrikes, added the statement.
Meantime, the provincial government said the Afghan
forces have discovered and destroyed at least 51 improvised explosive devices
during the operations in various parts of Helmand.
The anti-government armed militant groups including
Taliban militants did not comment regarding the report so far.
